Forney Texas, - Kaufman County deputies responded to a call regarding a stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of Bend Court in the Travis Ranch addition on March 9, 2012 at approximately 6:32 pm. When deputies arrived at the office, the victim stated that she was getting ready to leave for the day when a man walked in and closed the door and locked the deadbolt. The victim asked if he was there to see a home and he responded by saying “yea”. She told him that she wanted to show him a home, and unlocked the front door and exited the building. The male followed her outside and walked passed her. The victim ran back into the office and locked the front door, and called 911. The male suspect continued to the parked vehicles outside and was seen driving off in the victim’s vehicle. The suspect left his vehicle behind and deputies were able to identify him by his vehicle registration. Sometime later the victim’s car was located at a pharmacy in the Forney area.
Arrested and charged with theft of property/ Over $20,000 but Under $100,000.00 was Kennard Earl Turner, 26, of Whitehouse. Turner later turned himself into the Terrell Police Department and was transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where he remains with bond set at $10,000.00
