Shots Fired Call Ends in Stand Off

Terrell Texas,-On October 25, 2012 at approximately 1:41 am., Kaufman County deputies responded to a shots fired call at a residence in the 1000 block of Wright Street in Terrell.

The highly agitated caller stated that he was shooting in the back of the residence, and that he was killing people.

As officers approached the residence the suspect came outside on the porch and fired several shots from a shotgun at the officers.  After telling the suspect several times to lay his weapon down, the suspect became more upset and shot at officers again. The suspect then stepped off of the porch into the yard and stated that he was going to kill himself. The officers again gave the suspect several commands to lay his weapon down; he instead turned the weapon on himself and shot himself in the chest area.  As several deputies began a search of the residence for other suspects or victims, other deputies at the scene began CPR on the suspect until emergency personnel could take over.

The suspect, Parker Chadick, 27, of Terrell was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
